1. Meze - this is a popular harbour town close to Montpellier. Meze has its own beach and there are plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes on the port. Montpellier airport is just 25 mins away
2. Collioure - this coastal town is absolutely stunning. Located in the very south of the Languedoc region, close to the Spanish border, Collioure is a very picturesque place and you have your choice of 3 beaches.
3. Argeles-sur-Mer - situated close to Collioure, this famous French beach resort has a long sandy beach with lovely views of the Pyrenees in the background. There are lots of activities to keep the kids amused, as well as a number of popular music festivals in the summer.
4. Marseillan - this is another lovely harbour town close to the beach resorts of Marseillan PLage and Cap d'Agde.
5. Cap d'Agde - is blessed with some of the best beaches in Languedoc, as well as a whole range of sports activities, water parks and childrens' entertainments.

Portiragnes enjoys some of the best weather in France, with plenty of clear, dry days. Portiragnes is a popular village, which has retained a friendly atmosphere.
