This studio apartment in the village of Tavel, close to Avignon, is available for long term rentals throughout the year. Tavel is a pretty wine-producing village and it´s Rosé wines are often regarded as the best in France. The village is extremely well equipped with 3 restaurants (all within 5 mins walk), a primary school, shop, hotel and pharmacy. The beautiful city of Avignon is just 10 mins drive away and here you will find a TGV train station and local airport. The apartment comes with air conditioning, garden, fully furnished kitchen, WiFi and a parking space. The apartment sleeps a maximum of 2 people.

Last visited: June 2018. This beautiful studio apartment in Tavel is the perfect place to rent if you are looking for a long term rental in France close to the ancient city of Avignon in Provence. The apartment has been lovingly restored by the Owners and provides all the facilities that you will need for a long stay. The local village is extremely well-equipped and you have good access to the transport links (airports, motorways and TGV train stations). The apartment and the neighbouring property maybe rented out at the same time. Although the garden of the apartment and the terrace of the main house are separated by bamboo screening, the Owners do request that each tenant respect the privacy of each other and be aware of noise when in the outdoor areas.

Area activities

The apartment is located in a peaceful residential area of the edge of the pretty village of Tavel. Tavel is renowned for its Rosé wines and the local countryside is dominated by vineyards in all directions. You can by local wines direct from the producers.

Just 10 mins away, you will find the city of Avignon, with its impressive Papal Palace, famous bridge (Pont d´Avignon) and a large choice of famous restaurants. Tavel is a perfect base for exploring Provence, the Camargue and the Gard. You will find plenty of beautiful places to visit including Aigues Mortes, St Maries de la Mer, Chateauneuf du Papes, L´Isle sur Sorgue, Uzes, Nimes and the Pont du Gard. In under 1 hour you can be on the long sandy beaches at Le Grau de Roi (which are the best beaches on the Languedoc coast).

In the village you will find several little shops, bakers, pharmacy, butchers etc plus two or three very good restaurants. Daily markets can be found in the surrounding villages and a big supermarket is just 5 mins drive.

Tavel also has its own municipal swimming pool.
