Maison du Bijou is located amongst the vineyards of the Minervois wine region of Southern France. This charming holiday home has its own private pool, walled garden and private parking. This spacious holiday home in Southern France comes with 4 bedrooms and can comfortable accommodate 8 people.
The holiday home is decorated in a traditional French boutique style, with original artwork adorning the walls. Located in the idyllic village of Gimois it offers a spectacular location for exploring the region and sampling the fabulous wines and French cuisine.

The ground floor provides direct access to the terrace and pool.

The original stone staircase takes you up to the first floor.

The swimming pool is completely private and is surrounded by an old stone wall. There is a sun terrace surrounding the pool with plenty of sun beds. The terrace in front of the house contains a large patio table which can seat 8 people for those idyllic summer evenings enjoying the local wine.

This beautiful stone farmhouse is the perfect place for a relaxing family holiday in Southern France. The house provides total peace and quiet, a lovely swimming pool and plenty of space both inside and out.
Maison du Bijou is located in the heart of the Minervois wine region, which consistently provides the best wines in South France. You can buy excellent local wines direct from the vineyards in the neighbouring villages.
The house is also well-located for exploring the local sites including Carcassonne castle, the Canal du Midi and the ancient Cathar village of Minerve.

Maison Du Bijou is situated in Gimios, close to St. Jean de Minervois and surrounded by vineyards. The village is just 16 minutes by car from the lively town of Saint Chinian with all necessary amenities, including a large French market twice a week, 3 boulangeries, several supermarkets, a bookshop with international newspapers, petrol stations, doctors and banks. In Saint-Jean de Minervois, you can enjoy a delicious meal at the Auberge de l´Ecole restaurant and wander back home along an ancient footpath to the house (500 m).
The Minervois is a celebrated wine region, producing some of the best wines in France and winners of many international Gold medals. The local climate is dry and warm and the area has many excellent restaurants. There are some beautiful sites to see, including the Cathar village of Minerve, the Canal du Midi and the fabulous Carcassonne castle.
The typical southern French cities of Narbonne and Béziers are half an hour away by car. A visit to Spain is also possible with the border just 1 hours drive. The nearest beaches are located at Gruissan Plage and Narbonne Plage (45 mins).

Driving directions
St Jean de Minervois is located 30km north of Narbonne and 32kms from Beziers. The village can be reached by taking the D5 from either Carcassonne or Beziers and then taking the D26 at Bize-Minervois in the direction of St-Chinian.

Incredible home

Very good
We were very satisfied with the house. Everyone had the necessary privacy and space. The area was very beautiful. St.-Chinian is a cozy town with a nice market twice a week where you could get everything. We also had a nice meal there.

Everything was arranged quickly despite our real last minute reservation 1 day in advance. The house was wonderfully clean and received with a nice chilled bottle of ros?. We enjoyed it and are happy to come back.

Beautiful house, a haven of peace
The house is located in Gimios, a small hamlet in the middle of the vineyards. There are beautiful walks all around. The house is spacious with a large games room, ping pong table. You will appreciate the taste of the the local wine, Muscat of Saint Jean de Minervois, whilst you are sitting at the edge of the swimming pool… ensuring calm and relaxation.
