This holiday villa with private pool in South France is one of the most popular villas that we feature on Go Languedoc. Petit Lumineuse boasts 3 bedrooms and sleeps 6 guests very comfortably. It is the perfect rental villa for a family holiday . This beautiful villa is located in the pretty village of Neffies, near Pezenas and the Mediterranean coast. The villa has a large swimming pool, together with a separate jacuzzi.

There is a large garden with plenty of privacy, spacious lounge, well-equipped kitchen and a games room. The villa is a pleasant 5 minute stroll into the village, where you can find your fresh baguettes and croissants for breakfast and an excellent restaurant, bar, wine cave, shop, tennis court and playground.

There is further bedroom on the 1st floor with a day bed ( 2 twins) with en-suite & private balcony offering fabulous views.

The villa also has a table tennis table, 2 moveable basketball hoops and kid’s archery sets.

Outside

Villa Lumineuse is located within a large plot (3111m²) which is located in a quiet residential area on the edge of the village. There is a large gravel driveway leading up to a double garage.

The garden is beautifully landscaped and comes with a heated swimming pool (9m x 4m) with security cover and a Jacuzzi spa. Surrounding the pool there is a large sun terrace with plenty of sun beds. The garden also contains some shaded spots under 2 mature trees and on the covered terrace next to the living room.

There are several outdoor eating and sitting areas. The terrace also features a brick built BBQ (although there is also a gas BBQ provided).

The villa is available for weekly rentals throughout the year. The prices includes linen, towels and end of stay cleaning. There is a €500 security deposit and all guests are required to be covered by travel insurance.

Villa Lumineuse - Neffies France villa with pool - Our opinion:

Last visited May 2025. A lovely villa ideal for families, the 3 bed option is perfect for smaller families that want to benefit from a larger property.

Neffies is a great location - ideal for visiting the beach and also touring the local vineyards. There is one of the best restaurants in the area (Le Very´Table) located in the centre of the village, just walking distance away.

Villa Lumineuse is situated situated in the pretty village of Neffies. This is an excellent spot for visitors to explore this beautiful corner of France, with stunning scenary and excellent local vineyards - the Faugeres wine appelation produces some of the best wines in the area.

Neffies is located on the edge of the “Parc Naturel regional du Haute-Languedoc” and there are some beautiful drives, cycle routes and hiking trails nearby.

In the village there is a bakers, for your daily baguette and morning croissants, and there is a well-stocked provisions store, which has a meat and deli counter. A van visits once a week selling fresh seafood, including local oysters and mussels direct from the producers. The village also provides a post office, children’s play area and tennis courts. The family-friendly bar serves decent food at lunchtimes and evenings, with great views from their terrace. Alternatively, one of the best restaurants in the area is tucked behind Neffies’ Gothic church. The restaurant was praised in a Sunday Times article as being as “friendly and toothsome as you like”.

Less than fifteen minutes drive away is the ancient market town of Pezenas, with it`s atmospheric old quarter, artist’s studios, boutiques and wide variety of bars and restaurants. There is also a fabulous market on Saturday, and a cinema showing English language films. A thirty-five minute drive will take you to the Mediterranean coastal resorts where you’ll find long stretches of sandy beaches with safe, shallow waters for swimming, all kinds of water sports, and a lively buzz in the cafes and bars. Some of the many family attractions here include a Dinosaur Park (near Meze), an African Animal reserve (Sigean), Aqualand water park (Cap D’Agde) and the Aquarium at Montpellier.

Fresh water swimming can be enjoyed at a small lake ten minutes away at Vaillhan, at Lac du Salagou in the National park, or at the many river beaches, where you can also find canoeing and kayaking. Or, you could hire a bike and go cycling along the tow paths of the magnificent Canal du Midi.

Explore the bustling port of Sete, built on a confluence of canals, and watch the local spectacle of water jousting. Meander through the narrow cobbled streets of the regional capital, Montpellier, with its shady squares and exclusive boutiques. Or just simply relax by your own pool.

Other transport

There is a TGV train station located at Montpellier, Beziers and Agde. Local bus services run from each of these towns to Pezenas, with connecting bus routes to Roujan and Neffies.

Villa Lumineuse is easily accessed from two main autoroutes, the A9 and A75: approximately 20 minutes from both.

Booking terms for Villa Lumineuse, are as follows.

25% deposit within 7 days of booking. Balance due 8 weeks before arrival. Security deposit required (€500). All guests are required to be covered by travel insurance.

Check in after 16.00 on day of arrival. Check out before 10.00 on day of departure. Saturday changeovers preferred during high season (flexible at other times of the year).
