This house for long term rentals in France, is located in the pretty wine-producing village of Tavel, just outside Avignon. The Rosé wines produced in Tavel are often regarded as the best in France. The village is extremely well equipped with 3 restaurants (all within 5 mins walk), a primary school, shop, hotel and pharmacy. The beautiful city of Avignon is just 10 mins drive away and here you will find a TGV train station and local airport.
You enter this property from the street level. A set of steps brings you to the front door (on the first floor level). An internal staircase takes you down to the ground floor level. Here you will find the large kitchen and dining room and beautiful lounge. The kitchen comes fully equipped and contains a central island, range cooker with double oven, large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, espresso coffee machine and plenty of cooking utensils. A set of French windows provides access from the kitchen out onto the terrace. The dining area contains a long hard wood table with seating for up to 10 people.
The beautiful lounge features Traveritine flooring, a wood burning stove, TV, 2 comfortable sofas and two sets of patio doors (one providing access to the terrace and the other providing access to the pool and sun terrace).
On the second floor there are 3 en suite bedrooms. A set of stairs from the lounge leads up to the Master bedroom which is a large suite 36m2 in size and also incorporates a home office. There is large king size bed (180cm x 200cm), large dressing room and an en suite bathroom with walk-in shower, bath, double sinks and toilet. The home office comes with a desk and has lovely views down over the terrace. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are both accessed from the main entrance, along a corridor, with plenty of storage closets. Bedroom 2 comes with a king size bed (160cm x 200cm) with electronic controls. The en suite shower room comes with a walk-in shower, wash basin and toilet. Bedroom 3 has a king size bed (160cm x 200cm) and beautiful views out over the vineyards. The en suite bathroom has a corner bath with overhead shower, wash basin and toilet.
Outside: At the front of the house, there are 2 terrace areas. Next to the kitchen and dining area there is a large terrace with BBQ, large patio table and chairs, outdoor sofa and arm chairs. This terrace has uninterupted views of the vineyards and rocky hills beyond. The second terrace contains the pool, summer house/bar and seating area and garden. The beautiful swimming pool is 8m x 4m and is south facing and surrounded by rocks. There is plenty of space for 4-5 sun loungers. The summer house contains a bar, storage and provides access to a utility area which contains the washing machine, clothes drying area and pool equipment. The garden and seating area is shaded by a tall tree. There is a drop of 1m-1.5m from the terrace, with only a single rail for protection. Care therefore needs to be taken with young children and pets.
There is parking at the rear of the property.
This house in Tavel for long term rentals is available to rent monthly throughout the year. The prices exclude the utility bills. Minimum stay is 3 months. The prices are as follows:
12 month annual rental: €2000 pcm
Monthly rental excluding July & August: €2500pcm
3 month summer rental (May/June to Sept): €3500 pcm
There is a monthly provision of €450 towards the utility bills and services (electricity, water, internet/TV, gardener, pool maintenance).
Last visited: June 2018. This house in Tavel is the perfect place to rent if you are looking for a long term rental in France with lovely views and pleanty of peace and quiet. The house has been lovingly restored by the Owners and provides all the facilities that you will need for a long stay. Care must be taken with younger children, due to the un-fenced terrace area (with high drops).

The house is located in a peaceful residential area of the edge of the pretty village of Tavel. Tavel is renowned for its Rosé wines and the local countryside is dominated by vineyards in all directions. You can by local wines direct from the producers.
Just 10 mins away, you will find the city of Avignon, with its impressive Papal Palace, famous bridge (Pont d´Avignon) and a large choice of famous restaurants. Tavel is a perfect base for exploring Provence, the Camargue and the Gard. You will find plenty of beautiful places to visit including Aigues Mortes, St Maries de la Mer, Chateauneuf du Papes, L´Isle sur Sorgue, Uzes, Nimes and the Pont du Gard. In under 1 hour you can be on the long sandy beaches at Le Grau de Roi (which are the best beaches on the Languedoc coast).
In the village you will find several little shops, bakers, pharmacy, butchers etc plus two or three very good restaurants. Daily markets can be found in the surrounding villages and a big supermarket is just 5 mins drive.
Tavel also has its own municipal swimming pool.

Tavel is located just 15km from the centre of Avignon. The village is just a short drive to the A9 motorway.
