We stayed 15 days in the Grenache lodging. A real joy! nestled in the nature, surrounded by vineyards... we found there serenity and unparalleled peace. We enjoyed those moments around the lovely pool, very well maintained. The surroundings are also very rich. Many wineries to explore, including small producers who are returning to the ancient art of winemaking. A must see is the "Summertime Sommières" .... where conviviality, tasting and music are appropriate. Finally a big thank you to the friendly owners, friendly and willing to help us discover the most of this beautiful region. A repeat for sure! Review by Marine, 16 Sep 2015

We enjoyed our stay with our family of four (parents + 2 teenagers). I can highly recommend the accommodation. When we arrived, we were welcomed warmly by the owners Sophie and Nicolas and were shown and explained everything. We had hired the house "Grenache" - with two bedrooms (one with double bed, one with queen-size bed plus single bed) and a large kitchen. For 4-5 persons this was an absolutely spacious apartment. From the living room one enters through a sliding door to the terrace, which is protected with a shady canopy in front of the blazing sun. From the terrace you have uninterrupted views over the large outdoor area and over the surrounding vineyards - a magnificent view with plenty of sunshine from morning until late afternoon. The property offers a playground and pool. Unfortunately, the use of the pool was strictly regulated (no inflatables!) - the kids still had fun! All in all, recommended a fantastic Vacations unrestricted!

Pros:

The apartment was in an excellent and very clean condition. Everything was very clean, lovingly decorated with taste and prepared. Dishwasher and washing machine. Lovely pool and garden

Cons:

Small drawback: the equipment with "holiday Basics" was zero - so really had everything to be re-purchased. Those looking for action and crowds, is completely wrong in Montaud - the property is very secluded and completely quiet. The village Montaud is so small that there is not even a baker's - but there is a small supermarket 3km away in St. Drezery. For larger purchases it takes about 15-20 minutes to Sommieres. Without a car, you will struggle to visit the attractions (Nimes, Montpellier etc.) are about 45 minutes away.
