The cottage has lovely views across the countryside and is just a minutes walk from the village. The cottage has been fully restored but many of the original features have been retained such as exposed stone walls and high beamed ceilings. The accommodation is spread over 3 floors. On the ground floor there is a kitchen, double bedroom, utility area and separate WC. The kitchen is fully fitted with dishwasher, fridge freezer, combi-oven, hob and microwave. There is a breakfast bar and stools to seat 6, a large walk-in pantry and a door to the terrace. The kitchen has a door to the garage and another door leads onto the terrace. The garage has a utility area and a second fridge freezer and a washing machine.
On the first floor of this cottage in South France with pool there is the main living room with 2 comfortable sofas, TV with UK satellite channels, CD player, DVD player, iPOD docking station, fireplace and door onto the top terrace. There is a twin bedroom on this floor with two single beds and an ensuite bath/shower, WC and hand basin. A third single bed could be put in here if necessary.
Two further bedrooms are on the second floor, the master bedroom is a large room with a picture window looking out over the vineyard. The bedroom has exposed stone walls, beamed ceiling, kingsize bed, ceiling fan, ensuite shower, WC and hand basin. The fourth bedroom has two single beds and ensuite WC & basin. All bedrooms have air-conditioning.
Outside: there is a private swimming pool (9 m x 3.5 m) with Roman steps; and a sun terrace with four sunloungers. The terrace and pool not overlooked. There is a outside dining area on the first floor top terrace, with fantastic views over the pool and the vineyard. There are two further terraces in the garden, both with table and chairs and one with a BBQ. 3 acres of private vineyards. Private off-road parking.

This cottage in South France with pool is located on the edge of the pretty village of Cruzy, to the west of Beziers. The village is just a minute's walk and has all the essentials such as bakery, grocery and a cafe bar which has just opened as well as a butchers, cafe, pharmacy and mini supermarket. There is a market in Cruzy square on Tuesday and Friday mornings. There is a wider choice of shops, a supermarket and restaurants in neighbouring villages of Quarante, Puisserguier and Capestang. Capestang is on the Canal du Midi and you will find a couple of excellent waterside restaurants close by. There is an excellent restaurant a 5 minute drive or 10-15 minute walk away called Terminus. Other local restaurants include The Auberge de la Croisade, just 5 mins away by the side of the tree-lined Canal du Midi. The Auberge offers a very good value leisurely lunch menu and the setting is top class, with the added bonus of a designated driver not being required. Another high end restaurant worth mentioning is the "Table de Roueire" which is between Quarante and Capestang. Superb terrace overlooking fields towards Creissan, which is lovely for summer lunches. There's a super bar in Quarante, "Bar le 40", which is very popular with locals and tourists alike. Cheap and cheerful, but also a good range of grilled meat and fish dishes.
The Mediterranean beaches are just 35 mins, with the resorts of Vias Plage, Serignan Plage and Valras Plage offering the best beaches.
The beautifully shaded tow-paths of the Canal du Midi are ideal for walking or cycling with many cafés and bars dotted along the banks and many opportunities for a quiet and relaxing picnic. Carcassonne, a medieval town with its exceptionally well preserved castle and walled town is only 45 minutes away. The medieval settlement of Minerve is also not to be missed. A former Cather stronghold, it is officially one of 'The Most Beautiful Village in France' and boasts beautiful buildings, scenery and excellent restaurants.
The lively town of Beziers is 20 mins away. Beziers is especially vibrant during the annual Feria, a 5 day long festival. Great flower market on Fridays along the main promenade. The city of Narbonne is 20 minutes and has a Thursday morning market with enthralling covered food hall. The cathedral and abundance of shops and restaurants are not to be missed. 35 minutes to the beaches. Spain is an hour's drive to the border and Barcelona is approximately 3 hours.
Cruzy is located on the D36 a road which takes you to Capestang, where you can find the main road to Beziers and the A9 autoroute.
