This property is built within the grounds of a 12th Century Benedictine Monastery, located up a winding lane close to the village of Molières-sur-Ceze. The Cevennes region is a stunningly beautiful area of France, located on the South Eastern corner of the Massif Central. The Cevennes contains a varied landscape of rocky mountains, dense chestnut forests and rivers. Despite the rural location, you are not totally cut off from civilization (although it may sometimes feel like that). The large town of Alès is 20 km away, the historic town of Uzès is 33 km and Nimes and Avignon are both 50 mins drive away. There is a TGV train station in both Nimes and Avignon, as well as local airports with low cost flights to the UK.
The cottage comes with a large garden and is located up a quiet lane close to the village of Rousson.

The weekly rental prices includes the linen, towels, end of stay cleaning and full use of all the facilities at the nearby Monastery. In addition to the rental price, guests at the Four Seasons are required to use the on-site restaurant 5 nights a week. Trust me, this is not a hardship at all!! The meals cost €20 per head (including wine) and it is very good quality. The rationale of the Owner is that asking guests to take up the half-board offer enables him to employ a high quality chef full-time. 5 evening meals + daily breakfast costs €169 per person (€113 for children).
