Le Moulin I is is one of 3 gites located between Nimes & Montpellier.This beautiful old Water Mill has been renovated to a very high standard and is perfect for a relaxing holiday enjoying the fabulous infinity swimming pool and areas to explore. The complex is situated on a river bank on the edge of the pretty village of Salinelles, which is close to the picturesque Southern France town of Sommieres. Le Moulin I is on the ground floor, has floor to ceiling arched windows, stone floors and charm throughout.

This gite has its own enclosed private garden area with terrace, BBQ and garden furniture. From the terrace you can see a field with horses. The Water Mill has 2 hectares of land along the length of the Vidourle river with no neighbours. The uninterrupted countryside views over the Vidourle River, makes this a tranquil location.

The prices for these gites to rent in France at Salinelles are weekly and include indoor towels, linen and utilities. Swimming towels are available at a small additional cost.
The Water Mill has 3 gites (two 3 bedroom gites and one 4 bedroom gite) which can be rented individually or together. An English-speaking baby sitter is available at request.
Last visited April 2016. If you are looking for well-equipped and picturesque holiday gites for rent in France, then the Water Mill may be the perfect choice. Ideally located in between Montpellier and Nimes and close to the Mediterranean coast, these gites provide everything that you could want from a family holiday in France. There are 3 gites available to rent (either individually or together) and they can accommodate 21-27 people, if you are travelling as a large group.
The pretty village of Salinelles is 3km from the beautiful town of Sommieres. This wonderful South France town has a spectacular Roman bridge over the river and lots of medieval architecture. The historic cities of Nimes and Montpellier are both about 30 mins drive away. Nimes has many Roman attractions such as the Arenes - the best preserved amphitheatre in Europe. Montpellier is a wonderful place for shopping, sporting activities and wandering through the narrow streets. The Pont du Gard is the famous and spectacular Roman 3 tier aqueduct is about 1 hour away. Anduze, Quissac, Uzes, Aigues Mortes and Avignon are some of the local towns that you may want to visit in this marvellous corner of South France. You will find many vibrant open air markets, full of local crafts and produce, and also ´brocantes´ which are furniture and antiques markets.
In the summer, Nimes has evening markets with plenty of open air dining in the warm summer nights. The Mediterranean coast is 30 minutes drive away and ou will find long sandy beaches of La Grande Motte. Diving, sailing and wind-surfing opportunities are plentiful along this coast.

The pretty village of Salinelles has 3 restaurants, a cafe/bar & general store. The nearest supermarket is 3kms away at Sommieres. Here you will also find a market (Saturdays), a petrol station, cashpoint, pharmacy, doctor, dentist and tourist office.
Changeover days: Friday to Friday in high season. Check in after 16.00 on day of arrival. Check out before 10.00 on day of departure.
The nearest motorway to these gites to rent in France is the A9 at the Lunel exit (14 km). Take the D34 to Sommieres and then follow the D6110 to Salinelles.

The nearest train station to these gites to rent in France is at Lunel (17 Kilometres). The TGV stops at both Nimes and Montpellier.
The booking policies for these gites to rent in France are as follows:25% deposit at the time of reservation, balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival. An additional security deposit of €375 per week should be paid at the time of arrival.
The pool is open from beginning of May until mid October and is heated. Additional cleaning is available on request (in advance), payable locally €15 per hour.
Fantastic setting and outdoor space. Pool is amazing - we spent so much time in it. Well equipped for children - great playroom and pool.

The gites are beautifully done out. Pool is fantastic and a location to die for. We would definitely return. We've loved every minute.
