A charming stone cottage for long term rentals in the beautiful town of Lagrasse in Southern France. Lagrasse is located in between Carcassonne and Narbonne and is surrounded by the Corbieres hills. The cottage is located on a quiet street in the village and comes with a private courtyard garden. The property is only a few steps away from the River Orbieu which is a popular swimming spot for the local villagers. The property is available for long term rentals between October to May from €800 pcm + bills.
You enter the property from the street living room with built-in wood stove, two 2-seater sofas, dresser with TV, a sideboard and a table with 4 chairs in the dining area. Furthermore, a fitted kitchen with 3-burner gas stove, electric oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and washing machine.
On the first floor there are two bedrooms, one with a double bed (140cm x 200cm) and built in wardrobes and the other with twin beds. There is a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
Outside: The approximately 25 m² terrace is equipped with garden furniture and a barbecue. You can park near the house or - in the main season - at the free parking places on the outskirts of the village (approx. 3 minutes walk from the house).
This 2 bedroom property in Lagrasse is available for long term rentals between October to May. The monthly prices do not include the utility bills (there is a monthly provision of €150 towards the electricity, water, internet and communal taxes). Minimum stay 2 months - prices will vary according to length of stay and season.

The beautiful village of Lagrasse is the perfect spot for a long term rental in Southern France. The town has a vibrant art community and comes with plenty of events throughout the year. The town is well-equipped with shops, restaurants and services.
In Lagrasse you can visit the Benedictine monastery that still dates back to the 8th century or stroll through the small streets with shops and galleries. There is a covered market on Saturdays at Place de Halle. There are several good restaurants. In the area you can walk and cycle (marked walking and cycling routes), horseback riding, play tennis and fish or swim in the river. There are often concerts, exhibitions and cultural events. Further sights: historic cities such as Narbonne, Beziers, Perpignan, Montpellier and of course Carcassonne with its famous ´Cité´. The Cathar castles such as Quéribus, Peyrepertuse, Puylaurens and Montségur (route des Cathares). Endless possibilities to taste and buy wine. The Mediterranean beaches are just a half-hour drive away and a trip to one of the artists´ villages such as Canet or Collioure is certainly worth it. Be sure: a boat trip on the Canal du Midi or a walk along the art route in the nearby village of Mayronnes!
