Chateau de Corrige is a beautiful 5 bedroom property with stunning views over rolling countryside of the Limousin. The Chateau is available for 3 month rentals over the summer period and for longer rentals (up to 12 months) during the rest of the year. The Chateau dates back to 1534 and is located just outside the village of Chamboret, 20kms north of Limoges in Central-Western France.

The West wing of the Chateau is available for rent and comes with 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and is exquisitely decorated throughout. The Chateau is surrounded by beautiful grounds and comes with a tennis court and a private swimming lake. The Chateau is very handy for the airport at Limoges (20 mins drive) and Limoges train station, with services direct to Paris. The Limousin region is famous for its beef cattle, numerous lakes and its production of porcelain and leather goods.

With your own tennis court and the nearby swimming lake, this is an excellent rental for all the family. The Chateau will especially suit customers who enjoy being surrounded by nature. The large vegetable garden is ideal for cultivating your own fruit and vegetables.

The local countryside is very beautiful and there are some stunning villages with local markets. The nearby city of Limoges has a very pretty historic centre, with lots of restaurants, small boutiques and food stores.

Area activities

The village of Chamboret is located in the Haute-Vienne department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in central-western France. The department neighbours with the Dordogne and the beautiful Parc National de Perigord-Limousin straddles the border between the two departments. The village has around 800 inhabitants and features a bar-restaurant and a very well-respected restaurant (Auberge La Lande de Taillac).

There are supermarkets in the neighbouring villages of Nantiat (4km) and Bellac (12km). Bellac also features a weekly market with fresh local produce. The local countryside features many areas of outstanding natural beauty, nature walks and cycle paths.

The nearby town of Limoges is a very pretty place, with a lovely historical centre, a stunning medieval Cathedral and a beautiful art-deco train station (often regarded as the most beautiful train station in France). Limoges features many excellent restaurants from Michelin star establishments to local bistros.

The village of Chamboret is located just off the N147 main road, which runs in between Brive-la-Gaillarde, Limoges and Poitiers.


The local airport at Limoges is just 20 mins drive away. There are flights to the following airports:

France: Lyon and Paris Orly

UK: London Stansted, East Midlands, Manchester (all year) and Bristol, Leeds Bradford, London Gatwick and Southampton (seasonal).

Other transport

There is a train station in Limoges (15 mins drive), with services to Paris and also to Bordeaux. There is also a local train station at the nearby village of Nantiat, with services to Poitiers and Limoges.

There is a local bus service between Chamboret and Limoges.

Booking terms

The long term rental reservation details for Chateau de Corrige are as follows:

One month´s deposit to be paid at time of reservation. Rent to be paid in advance (for 3 month summer rentals) and at the start of each month for longer rental periods.

For summer rentals, there is a monthly provision of €300 towards the utility bills (electricity, internet, water and gardening).

For rentals over the Autumn and Winter months, there is a monthly provision is €400 towards the electricity, water, communal taxes, internet, gardening and heating fuel. Firewood for the fireplaces can be purchased locally.

Minimum stay is 3 months. Rates will vary according to the length of your stay and the season.
