La Colle farmhouse is located in a small hamlet of 4 houses. The farmhouse provides 157m2 of living space and is built on two levels. It comes with a exposed oak beams and 4G Wi-Fi internet

The Key house feature is the 48m2 "voute", formerly a stable and an agricultural storage room with a curved barrel vaulted ceiling. Built over 400 years ago it is the centre piece of the house keeping it warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

Tucked away on a small hillside, the farmhouse is located within the little hamlet of La Colle. The hamlet was constructed several hundred years ago and completely built of natural stone. Within five minutes walk in any direction you are presented with all the delights of rural Provence - by the splendor of nature, prairie, forest, lavender fields, forests, water falls, open prairies and amazing wildlife.
This area has been visited by World renowned Artists like Cezanne, Matisse, Seurat, Picasso and Bonnard. There are hundreds of little villages and small towns in Provence waiting to be discovered. Here is a small selection of some of the sights worth a visit:
The hilltop towns of Gordes and Roussillon are 1 hours drive to the West. Further on, you will find the stunning city of Avignon - formerly the home of the Vatican for 70 years. Here you can also discover the hilltop fort at les Baux de Provence and the market town of Saint Remy de Provence. - is 1 hour 30 mins.
To the East you have the town of Sisteron, perched on the edge of the river. Nearby, there is the Plateau de Valensole with its spectacular lavender fields. Drive a little further to visit the Gorge du Verdon river and the the lakes of St.Croix and Esparon.
To the South, the historic town of Aix en Provence is one hour away and the city of Marseille is 90 mins. On the Mediterranean coast you will find the stunning seaside towns of Cassis, Carry-le-Rouet and Sausset.
Forcalquier is the principal town serving the area. There are two supermarkets, and a host of small shops, cafes and restaurants. The weekly market in Forcalquier is held on Mondays.
There is a TGV train station near Aix-en-Provence and in Avignon.
The nearest airport is located at Marseille (90 mins). There is a smaller airport at Avignon, with some seasonal low cost flights to the UK and Belgium.
