The Pigeonnier is set in the courtyard, accessed by it's own ancient steps and comes with a luxury bedroom suite, living room and private patio. Only 5km from the centre of historic Vichy, Le Pigeonnier is a 1-bedroom apartment set in the beautiful grounds of the Château de Champagnat, consisting of 38m2 over two floors with air conditioning and heating. The space
The Château is a 14th Century maison-forte, set in 2.5 ha of beautiful parkland. You can walk and picnic in the grounds. Le Pigeonnier is newly-renovated and has it's own roof-top patio with views over the surrounding countryside. It has it's own private stone staircase to the entrance, 160cm bed, en-suite bathroom upstairs and kitchenette (combi microwave/convection oven, dishwasher, hob, extractor fan, fridge, Tassimo coffee machine, tea and coffee) and living area downstairs with flat screen TV you can connect your laptop to, or watch your own subscription channels on (no TV connection to any channels). A welcome pack will be waiting for you on arrival.
The park and pool are shared with the family and guests at our second gite, La Lodge. Combine La Lodge and Le Pigeonnier for a stay for up to 10 people.
Guest access
In addition to your own private accommodation, guests have access to the pool (shared with owners, and any other visitors, open June-September from 10h00-22h00), the park, plus private use of the hot tub by reservation (private slots available all year round from 10h00-19h00).

The Château and its grounds offer a wonderful, peaceful haven, where you can relax, picnic in the park, kick back and soak up the sun by the pool or chill in the hot tub. You can explore the beautiful Auvergne region which has something for everyone.
25% deposit to be paid at time of reservation. The holiday balance and security deposit (€300) to be paid 8 weeks prior to arrival. The security deposit will be returned within 7 days of departure, less any deductions for damage.
Check in after 16.00 on day of arrival. Check out before 10.00 on day of departure.
The beautiful Auvergne region in Central France has something for everyone.
The historic spa town of Vichy is close-by and here you can enjoy a treatment at the thermal spa, dine by the riverside, take a boat across to Bellerive, sample the mineral waters at their sources in the Parc des Sources or Celastins, or indulge in some retail therapy in the many boutiques and markets. Vichy also comes with a number of Michelin Star restaurants, a golf course, a casino and holds horse races to the Hippodrome course. Vichy is officially listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List, in recognition of its Art Deco and Napoleonic villas and its historical significance as a leading 19th spa town. The town holds a number of events and festivals throughout the year including Ironman in August, the Triathlon in July, the Tour de France (departing town on 15 July 2026) and the Fête de Napoleon in June,
You can venture further afield to explore Clermont-Ferrand the capital city of Auvergne, the famous Puy de Dôme volcano with its cog-wheel railway, the medieval town of Moulins, or the exciting Street Art City in Lurcy-Lévis.
