Mas Vell-Roure is a large villa rental with private pool close to Perpignan in the South of France. The villa comes with 5 en-suite bedrooms and is located on the edge of the small village of Villelongue-dels-Monts, close to the Mediterranean coast and the Spanish border. The villa enjoys splendid views over the nearby village and on towards the foothills of the Pyrénees and the Mediterranean coastline in the distance. All the bedrooms are air conditioned and come with their own bathroom.
Mas Vell-Roure has a fantastic swimming pool and large garden - perfect for a family holiday away from the hustle and bustle. The large villa sleeps 12 very comfortably and is very well equipped to create a home from home experience.
Large villa South France - facilities:
Mas Vell-Roure luxury villa rental in South France is located on a large private plot on the edge of the village and is finished to a high standard. The villa is spacious inside and laid out over 2 levels.
Living Area
The villa has an abundance of space for 12 people yet feels very homely.
The large open plan living area has;
- Newly furnished lounge with three comfortable sofas.
- Large dining table that can seat 12 people comfortably
- Fantastic fully equipped kitchen with 2 fridges, coffee machine, Range Oven and dishwasher.
- A separate utility room with 9kg washing machine, perfect for large families.
- Not 1 but 3 french doors leading out to the terrace, garden and pool area.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms:
Ground floor:
- Bedroom 1: King Sized bed with patio doors onto the terrace
- Bedroom 2: Twin Iron framed bed with plenty of storage with extra day bed with an extra mattress.
- Family Bathroom + Extra shower room
First Floor:
- Bedroom 3: Master suite, with King sized bed, large en-suite bathroom with free standing bath, a huge shower and his & her sinks. The master has access onto a terrace overlooking the pool and has views onto the surrounding mountains.
- Bedroom 4: King sized bed with en-suite bathroom and fabulous views
- Bedroom 5: Twin beds with traditional storage and views out to the valley below, with en-suite shower room.
On the first floor there is a second living area with board games and a TV. It too presents fabulous views from the windows and is a wonderful space for children or adults alike to relax and enjoy.
Outside:
There is a fabulous large swimming pool (10m x 5m) which is surrounded by a security fence. Next to the pool there is an open sun terrace with sun beds, patio furniture and parasols. There is a patio awning over the large dining table on the terrace. This is a great space for a meal. There is also a BBQ next to the terrace.

Prices are weekly and include a weekly clean. Linen and bath towels are provided (but not pool or beach towels). During high season (July and August), the changeover day is Friday. During other periods the changeover day can be flexible.

Mas Vell-Roure South France large villa near Perpignan - Our opinion:
Last visited December 2021. If you are looking for a South of France holiday home with a touch of luxury then this property is perfect. It benefits from stunning views, air conditioning, sun terrace and a large private pool.
The villa is near to the beaches and easy to reach from Perpignan airport and Girona airport (Spain). The villa can easily accommodate 10-12 people. This South of France holiday home is finished to a high standard.

Area activities
Mas Vell Roure is near the Mediterranean coast where there are many attractive beaches and rocky coves. You will also find inland beaches by many of the regions lakes and plan d`eau. There are many water activities available such as sailing, windsurfing, jet skiing and pedaloes, sea kayaking, diving and snorkelling. many companies during the summer hire out all the equipment you need and tuition is available.
Discover Catalan culture and history at one of the many museums in the area together with a wealth of art galleries. Visit some of the many religious buildings built over the centuries such as the cathedral in Perpignan, village churches or once important priories. Many forts and chateaux are open to the public and are often the venue for antiques fairs or art exhibitions.

There is a TGV train station in the nearby city of Perpignan.

Beautifully maintained, spacious and comfortable holiday home
Mas Vell Roure is a beautifully maintained, spacious and comfortable holiday?home. The kitchen is very well equipped and BBQ facilities are available.?Each room has been carefully designed with high quality furniture and?fixtures. The garden and pool are both large and well maintained.?The house is situated in a peaceful location at the end of a dirt road with stunning?views of les Alberes.The property manager and domestic help are both very?friendly and knowledgeable about the area. It is definitely a place I would?like to return to again.

Luxurious villa
The house is perfect for sharing with family or friends, it is big enough?for you to have plenty of space if you need it, but it is cosy and homely too.The house is luxurious but practical too making it easy to relax if you?are holidaying with young children.We look forward to our next stay.

Great villa
We spent a few months over the winter in this great villa. It is nestled just below the Alb?res mountains that separate France from Spain and the southerly views out to the mountains are delightful in all seasons. The villa is at the edge of a charming village nestled in vineyards and garrigue landscape, and you can go for easy walks straight from the front door in various directions. With a car, it is very easy to get to all the beautiful parts of this corner of France as the house is midway between and a short drive to the beaches (Collioure, Port Vendre, Argeles) and the charming Pyrennean valley towns (Ceret, Amelie les Bains, etc), plus the "big smoke" of Perpignan is only a short drive away. Oh yes, and Spain and the Costa Brava is just across the border for easy day trips and a change in cuisine. We continue to think very fondly of our time in this house and would happily stay there again. The house is large, clean and functional with lots of space to relax in. The living areas are large, light and airy and the beamed ceilings give it a warm and rustic feel. Furthermore, the property managers were very helpful and friendly making it easy to ensure things worked smoothly at all times. We didn`t get to use much of the outdoor space due to the time of year we stayed, but the terrace and pool would be amazing in summer (but even at Christmas we sat on the sun loungers in shorts and t-shirts and soaked in the rays).

30% deposit to be paid at time of reservation, balance due 8 weeks before arrival. Security deposit €1000. The rental price includes the linen, towels and end of stay cleaning. Additional mid-stay cleaning can be arranged.
Check in after 16.00 on day of arrival; check out before 10.00 on day of departure. Friday changeovers during high season (July and August). Flexible at other times.
