Nice and Monte Carlo are both ten minutes away from this Villefranche apartment in South of France and Italy a mere forty minutes drive. Drive into the hills of Eze or Vence which are stunning, or the mountains for skiing an hour away. This area has so much to offer in the way of art, history, luxury and indulgence - whatever your taste.
Villefranche Old Town dates back to the 12th century and is a good place to eat plus a wonderful beach and sea to swim in. This is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in the world. Jean Cocteau stayed and is famous for decorating the little fisherman chapel on the quay. Many famous people choose this area to live. Tina Turner has a house in the hills and Elton John has a house close by.
Beach: Villefranche has its own lovely beach and the bay is beautiful for swimming. There are restaurants along the promenade serving wonderful food. My guests at Christmas last year took their roast dinner down and ate it on the beach as the weather can be lovely and famously warm and sunny on New Years day.
Restaurants: There are many lovely restaurants in Villefranche from the high sophistication of the famous Mere Germaine to simple pizza establishments. The manager can fill you in on where to go when you arrive.
Markets: Saturday sees the farmers market at the top of the village in the main gardens of the town. Every Sunday there is an antiques market in the Place Pollonais.
The Citadel: Built in 1557 on the site of a smaller fort on the orders of Emmanuel Philibert, Duke of Savoy, by his architect, Provana de Leyni. Today, it houses the Town hall, a congress centre, some museums, and an open air theatre.
Close By:
Villa Rothschild: Is another wonderful Villa on Cap Ferrat built in the classic Belle Epoque style. Also famous for the wonderful gardens. Take the bus or you can walk there in about 40 minutes.
Villa Kerylos: Is a wonderful replica of a Greek Villa built on the island of Delos at the height of Greek civilization about 2,300 years ago. It is beautiful and well worth a visit. You can take the bus or the train (one stop to Beaulieu) or walk via the sea promenade which will take about a 30 minutes.
The Institute de Francais: Is a world famous French Language School that uses the full-immersion method of learning. Students stay in our apartments on a regular basis.
Other transport
The train station is a minute away, so a car is not essential.
Airports
Villefranche sur Mer is only thirty minutes from Nice International Airport making it an easily accessible location from anywhere.

Villefranche is situated 4kms from Nice Centre and 7km from Nice International airport.

We can`t wait to return!
We`re a family of four who were fortunate enough to stay in this lovely apartment for two weeks in August 2013. The location is ideal - close to the beach, train station and village. It is comfortably furnished and the views are absolutely stunning. A definite highlight of our vacation was sitting on the balcony taking in the view.

The views are breathtaking
My husband, my children aged 7 and 9 and myself stayed in this recently renovated apartment in Villefranche at end of July. We had a marvelous time. I would highly recommend this apartment for a perfect holiday and we will definitely be returning to it again. The apartment is centrally located with easy access to supermarket, ATM and other convenience shops. The apartment is very spacious and the view breathtaking.
The beach is only a few minutes walk from the apartment. There are plenty of great restaurants to choose from - all within walking distance.

stunning views
The descriptions and photos were accurate. The apartment was very well equipped and tastefully decorated and the view was stunning and did exceed expectations. Views, well decorated, lovely terrace.

The booking terms for this bech apartment in South of France are as follows:
25% deposit at time of reservation. Balance due 8 weeks before rental period. Security deposit required. €220 service change to cover the cleaning and linens.
Saturday to Saturday bookings preferred in the high season. Check in after 16.00 on day of arrival. Check out before 10.00 on day of departure.
