Last visited October 2011. If you are looking for a France villa rental this property is for you. It benefits from it's own large private pool, terrace with stunning views and it is near the beaches. It easy to visit the other sites of the Languedoc from Ceret and visit Spain. The villa can easily accommodate 8-12 people so 2 to 3 families if required.

France villa rental near Ceret is in Le Boulou which is a small market town with bars, shops, supermarkets, restaurants, market, atelier-en-fer. Argelès-sur-Mer, with its wide beaches, is 18km to the east and Mount Canigou (2,785m) is to the west. The seaside town of Collioure was the home of many Impressionists and Port Vendres has a superb fresh fish market. The castles of the Cathars are within an easy day's drive. Skiing in season is 90 minutes away. The hills behind are laced with walks up into the high mountains with stunning views over the plain to Corbières to the north and Spain to the south.

Languedoc-Roussillon enjoys good weather and sunshine for most of the year and is famous for the variety of its local wines. The local markets are a huge attraction with the Catalan Saturday market in Ceret being the most popular. This town, with its cobbled streets, is famous for its art gallery and the various Impressionists who lived and worked in the area as they found the light and weather suitable for their painting. Picasso, Dali, Matisse being just a few. Collioure is a famous seaside town with lots of galleries too, but wonderful fish restaurants and evening entertainment. Just along the coast at Port Vendres, where Charles Rennie Mackintosh spent the last 4 years of his life, is the fantastic fresh fish market. Wonderful wide sandy beaches are less than 20 mins drive at a safe beach for younger children at Le Racou or further along the coast at Argeles with lots of beach side restaurants, shops, market stalls and a place to enjoy on a warm summer evening.
