Carignan is a 3 bedroom villa in Provence, located within an old farmhouse building. The farmhouse was originally constructed in 1804 and has retained many of the original features of the building. All the buildings are south facing, and surrounded by aromatic plants, as well as Mediterranean trees and vines. Villa Provence Facilities:

There are 3 Bedrooms; 1 with double bed and en-suite fully tiled shower & wash basin, plus a built in wardrobe. The couch converts to double bed if required. The other two bedrooms have a double and 2 single beds, solid Pine Wardrobes and bedside lockers. The main tiled bathroom has bath/shower, wash hand basin unit and toilet. There is an adjacent toilet with wash hand basin. The Large Dining/Living Room has views of the vines. The couch can be converted into a double bed. The kitchen with its solid oak painted doors is fully equipped with built in appliances and marble worktop, is south facing and overlooks the courtyard.

Started in 1804 and built on arched cellars, Mas de Puech consists of several buildings situated around a central courtyard, the property was designed as a self contained estate with its own vineyard. The Farmhouse consists of two separate buildings joined together by a central courtyard. The seven individually designed apartments are on two separate levels and will cater for all of the requirements you may have.

The large swimming pool with its own terrace, changing room, toilet and shower was completed in June 2005.

Last visited July 2007. This villa in Provence is ideal if you want to find self-catering holiday accommodation with a swimming pool near Nimes and the Provencal countryside. It is conveniently located to explore the sites of Languedoc Roussillon as well as the local popular sites of Provence, such as Avignon, Arles, St Remy, Pont du Gard and Uzes.

Villa in Provence is near St Jean de Serres which is situated 10 kms from Anduze, the gateway to the Cevennes; this thriving town has restaurants, supermarkets, cafes; an excellent market on Thursdays, a flea market on Sundays and the Steam Railway that will take you to St. Jean du Gard. Visit the Bambouseraie (the largest collection of bamboos in Europe). The area is renowned for its pottery.

Places to Visit:
Nimes with its Roman amphitheatre and busy shopping areas.
Montpellier with its beautiful baroque buildings and elegant parks.
Avignon with its famous bridge and the palace of the Popes.
Arles the home of Van Gogh.
The world heritage site, Pont du Gard and by way of contrast the Viaduc de Millau the highest motorway bridge in the world.
Uzes on a Saturday for its busy and popular market.
Mount Aigoual and its observatory in the Cevennes National Park.
The medieval towns of Sommieres , Sauve and Quissac.
The wild and wonderful Camargue with it's wild horses and flamingos.
The Mediterranean Coast, with its beautiful beaches and small fishing ports.
