A wonderful 3 bed South France long term rental. Set in the small old town of Montagnac, famous for its wine, this house is a typical example of a Languedoc wine growers house. Close to the wonderful old town of Pezenas and with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants on your doorstep, you will never be short of things to do. It is a perfect South France holidays rental, close to the beach, yet set in wonderful countryside with lots to do and explore.

On ground level there is the garage and the old wine making area (since converted into storage place). The original staircase is a real feature of the house (see pictures)

The First floor is lovingly restored to it's original shape and colours. The living room has a beautiful marble fire place. The kitchen is fully equipped with washing machine, microwave and large fridge. Also on this floor isa spare room with bed settee and storage leading to a wonderful terrace with seating. There is also a shower room on this floor too. There is fitted central heating.

On the Second floor there are 2 double bedrooms with period furniture and a second full bathroom. The house has a telephone so internet access is possible.

Last visited October 2007. This review does not do justice to this lovely, yet practical South France long term rental. It is close to all amenities, such a great restaurants, shops, banks, a pharmacy, the market etc. If you are looking for a long term let, then this house is clean, comfortable and reasonably well-equipped. It is also conveniently located to explore the South of France.

South France long term rental is in Montagnac which has everything you need, shops, bank, a wine cave, cafes and bars, and on the edge of town the largest wine cooperative in France. If you are visiting without a car everything you need is at hand, and there is a good bus service to surrounding areas.

Montagnac is a 3 minute drive from the historic town of Pezenas, with its artisans, antique dealers and many restaurants. Fifteen minutes to the south brings you to wonderful Mediterranean beaches and north are the l'Herault mountains with grottos, rivers and scenic drives. To the west is Carcasson and the Cathar fortresses and eventually Spain. In the east explore Provence with all its history, and on to the Riviera. There are many chateaus in the area where you can taste and enjoy the Languedoc wines. Outdoor markets abound in Montagnac and the surrounding villages.
