This wonderful property has a modern kitchen with new appliances and fittings, sitting room with log fire, large covered terrace, main double bedroom with balcony and en suite bathroom, second double bedroom with separate entrance and shower room. Heating by log fire and electric radiators. It has a large garden on two levels bordered by a pretty mountain stream with lots of trees and fantastic views of the Caroux mountains. A sheltered terrace overlooks the lower garden which slopes down to the stream and backs on to the upper wild garden. Le Petit Moulin retains much of its original character with wooden beams, flagstones and exposed stonework and antique furniture, together with modern amenities. On the ground floor a covered entrance leads to a modern kitchen with views to the garden.

The kitchen is well-equipped with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, cooker, iron and ironing board, breakfast table and chairs. From the kitchen you pass through to the original mill and the open-plan sitting room with exposed stone-work, original flagstone floor, wooden beams and log fire. A TV, DVD, radio and CD, are here for your comfort.

On one side of the room a door leads out to the wonderful covered outdoor living area for eating and relaxing with B.B.Q., comfortable seating, and table and chairs.

Near to the stream at the edge of the garden you will find a picnic table and benches. On the other side of the sitting room an elegant wooden staircase leads up to the two bedrooms. The main bedroom is light and airy with views over the garden, charming balcony, double bed, walk -in cupboard, chest of drawers and luxurious modern en suite bathroom.

The second bedroom has French doors (old mill entrance) which open onto the upper garden, a double bed, French blue decor, desk and wardrobe with separate W.C. and modern shower room. These rooms provide attractive and comfortable accommodation for two couples. There is also a 3rd twin bedroom available if required at an extra cost of €220pw in high season and 165€ in low.

Last visited June 19th 2008. This gite Languedoc Roussillon is ideal for couples or families who are looking for holiday accommodation in Languedoc. Le Petit Moulin's setting is wonderful with access to the river and a large garden - stunning! The watermill has been tastefully reconstructed. Mas du Gua is perfect for people wanting a walking holiday in Languedoc or a painting holiday in the South of France.

Gite Languedoc Roussillon is in the Medieval village of Mas du Gua is situated in a renowned walking area, with walks starting from the front door, this property offers a quiet and peaceful holiday with as many outdoor activities as you may wish to try. Otherwise enjoy the magnificent views of the surrounding countryside and mountains from the house and garden and relax completely in the comfort of this charming property.

Olargues is near by and is situated on a bend of the river Jaur in the Haut Languedoc Regional Park. Topped by an ancient bell tower, Olargues with its cobbled streets and medieval houses are an artist's dream and we get many guests coming to the area for painting holidays. The surrounding countryside is a paradise for walkers with well marked routes through cherry orchards and chestnut woods, past vineyards and across the slope of neighbouring Mount Caroux.
