French holiday gites are in the medieval chateau of Savignac le Haut and has two apartments and a studio.  Each large apartment is for  for 6-8 people there is also a studio apartment that can be hired with the ground floor apartment thus sleeping 8.   French holiday gites are situated in Languedoc-Roussillon next to Béziers (10km), a 10 minutes drive from the motorway  and next to the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea.  It is possible to rent both apartments together for 12-14 people.  The apartments share a garden and luxurious swimming pool.

French holiday gites facilities:

The ground floor apartment can accommodate 6 people (or 8 people with the studio). A spacious and light living area with comfortable seating including an open fire place and a dining area opening on to a terrace overlooking the garden and surrounding trees.  There are 3 bed rooms, 2 with a double bed and the third either a double bed or 2 single beds. These bedrooms, decorated with a different theme, have 2 tiled bathrooms. There is a large provençal styled kitchen which is fully equipped with range oven, dishwasher, hob, a further convector oven and fridge freezer.  It directly overlooks the garden and is connected to the dining room.

Studio - Connected on the ground floor but totally independant, the studio can accommodate 1 or 2 people. This is part of the ground floor and offers a double bed, a kitchenette, a bathroom and an outside private area at the entry.

Outside - A swimming pool (12 x 6 meters), totally secured and private.  Situated below the Château, the swimming pool is accessible by several paths in the big garden. Parking is available.   There is garden furniture (table, chairs and loungers), a club-house with showers and toilets, also a table tennis table.  A very pretty garden, with banana-trees and citrus plants in vases of Anduze bordering the lawn.

Prices are weekly, linen and towels can be hired at €15pp, end of stay clean is €70.

Mid season (June - Sep, Christmas and Easter) :  €1622  20% of June!

High season (July - August) : €2266 20% of July 10 - 17!

Last visitedJune 2009. A lovely chateau divided into apartments near Beziers, Languedoc Roussillon.  This gound floor apartment has all mod cons and all you need for a holiday in the South of France.  The pictures do not do these wonderful properties justice.  The charm and character of the chateau is wonderful and the peace and tranquility.  French holiday gites have a  swimming pool and large garden/grounds and the interior is well equipped and of a high standard. The apartment is within easy reach of  all the attractions of the Languedoc region of the South of France.

French holiday gites are in the languedoc region of the South of France.  The region is one that offers an amazing variety of things to see and do. There are some wonderful old towns to visit such as Carcassonne, Toulouse, and, of course, Béziers, and don't forget that you are only around an hour's drive from Spain, so you can pop across the border.  The countryside is diverse in this part of the south, so you can choose to enjoy the water sports and sunshine activities of the Mediterranean, or head inland and test your nerve and skill with the adventure sports on offer in the canyons, gorges and mountains.
